2020 CCDWBA Singles Winner

The 2020 CCDWBA Singles were held over 3 days from 2nd to 4th March. Very hot conditions prevailed on the first day resulting in some afternoon matches being postponed until the next day. There were some very close games throughout with some exciting finishes. Thanks to Umina Beach, Gwandalan, The Entrance, Halekulani and Terrigal for hosting this event.

Semi-finals:

Margaret Smith (Ettalong) def. Judy Wheatley (Wyong);

Heather McColl (Gosford City) def. Karen Croker (Ettalong)

The final saw a repeat of last year’s finals with Margaret coming out the winner this year over last year’s winner Heather in a very tight match. Well done to all players and congratulations to Margaret and Heather. Margaret will now proceed to the Region 6 playoffs to be held on 26th April.
