2020 Triples

The 2020 Triples were finally completed on 31st July.    This event was originally scheduled to be played in March but had to be postponed because of the cessation of all bowls due to the Covid 19 virus.  It was then scheduled to commence on 27th July but was again delayed due to the weather conditions.  The matches eventually commenced on 29th July at Halekulani Bowling Club.  Then continued at Avoca Bowling Club on the 30th and the Semi-finals and final were played at Davistown RSL Bowling Club on Friday 31st July.

Semi-finals:

Beverley Jessup, Robyn Holden, Margaret Smith (Ettalong Mem.)   def.

Sheena Black, Kaye Arnott, Gloria Bosward (Ettalong Mem.)

Sandra Anderson, Helen Cruden, Heather McColl (Gosford City)  def.

Judith Kidd, Jean Lauriston, Robyn Deane  (Halekulani)

The final between Margaret Smith’s and Heather McColl’s teams provided great bowls for the spectators.  They were neck and neck for a while then Margaret’s team went ahead then Heather’s team started to catch up again.  However Margaret’s ladies then surged ahead to take out the title.     Congratulations to all the players.
