2021 SENIOR FOURS

The 2021 Senior Fours commenced on Monday 18th January at Ettalong and Canton Beach.  The winners then played at Wyong on Tuesday 19th.   The event culminated with the Semi-finals and Final played on Wednesday 20th at Bateau Bay.    There were many exciting matches played over the three days with some close results.

Semi-finals:

Patricia Neal, Yvonne Austin, Lynnette Kennedy, Leila Gilmour  (Umina Beach) def

Wendy Ide, Lorraine Cross, Carol Edwards, Jeannine Vigar  (Everglades)

Final:

What a great final played between Lucy Young’s team and Leila Gilmour’s team.   It was a very tight match with the scores being level many times.  After 18 ends the score was level at 13 so an extra end had to be played to determine a winner and it came down to the last bowl with Leila Gilmours team winning the event.      Congratulations to all players.

The winners now proceed to the Region 6 playoffs to be played mid-year against Lake Macquarie District.
