2022-2023 R 6 SINGLES & SENIOR SINGLES

The 2022-23 Region 6 Singles and Senior Singles (Central Coast  v  Lake Macquarie) were played at Everglades Bowling Club on Sunday 19th February 2023.   The many spectators enjoyed great bowling from all players.

SINGLES

Heather Mc Coll  Gosford City (Central Coast)  played  Debbie Bullen  Charlestown (Lake Macquarie)

Debbie started off well and kept Heather at bay but gradually Heather caught up and it was a very closely fought game.   Both these ladies played great bowls.  It really came down to the last bowl each end to see who would win the end.     At 23 apiece Heather held game but Debbie played a great bowl with her last to cut it down to 1 forcing another end.  Heather drew a toucher resting just behind the jack and managed to hold onto it to take out the match.  Congratulations to both ladies.    We wish Heather good bowling when she plays in the State Playoffs 20-22nd July in the Illawarra area.

SENIOR SINGLES

Gail Sheehan  Munmorah Utd  (Central Coast) played  Debbie Bullen  Charlestown   (Lake Macquarie)

Gayle shot ahead of Gail but Gail got going and gradually drew nearer but then Gayle would shoot ahead again.  Both ladies played lovely bowls but Gayle eventually got a few multiples which gave her the winning edge.      Congratulations to both ladies. We wish Gayle good bowling when she plays in the State Playoffs 20-22nd July in the Illawarra area.
