2022-2023 R6 FOURS & SENIOR FOURS

The regional playoffs between Central Coast and Lake Macquarie for the Fours and Senior Fours were played at Gwandalan Bowling Club on Sunday 29th January.     The event was played in very hot humid conditions which made it very unpleasant for the players and spectators.  However every now and then a puff of cool breeze helped. It was great to see the many spectators who came to support their teams from Ettalong, Charlestown and Valentine.

Fours:    Ettalong played Valentine.    The game started off evenly but gradually the Ettalong team forged ahead and kept the lead until the end, winning 22 to 13.

Winners:  Marie Woodbine, Rose Ednie, Carol Edwards, Julie Paris   Ettalong Memorial

Runners Up:  Maggie Johnston, Alina Miklosi, Wendy Morrin, Beatrix Stauble   Valentine

Congratulations to Ettalong who now go to the State playoffs in July in the Illawarra area.  Also well done to Valentine for reaching the regional playoffs.

Senior Fours:  Ettalong played Charlestown.    This match was close between the two teams until Charlestown forged ahead in the later stages winning 22 to 11.

Winners:  Lynn Genders, Katherine Faint, Patricia White, Halina Wuro  Charlestown

Runners Up:  Robyn Holden, Anastasia Koutsellis, Margaret Smith, Karen Croker   Ettalong Memorial
