2022-23 Women’s Pennants

The 2022-23 Women’s Pennants at District level were completed with the Post Sectional Playoffs being held at Bateau Bay Bowling Club from 5th to 7th September.  Division 3, with 5 section winners, played a round robin over the 3 days.  Divisions 1, 2 & 4 with only 2 sections in each played on the Wednesday morning .  The players in Division 3 played on the undercover green,  in cold, windy conditions with a threat of rain on Monday & Tuesday.  On Wednesday the sun was out so they played their last games on the grass green.   The other Divisions played on the undercover green.   The spectators braved the conditions each day to support their clubs which I am sure was appreciated by the players.     They witnessed great bowling with many close matches.

The winners now go on to the Region 6 playoffs with Lake Macquarie District to be played at Redhead Bowling Club on Sunday morning 25th September.   We wish them good bowling.
