2022 ROSE BOWL

WINNERS      NEWCASTLE DISTRICT

The 2022 Rose Bowl held between Central Coast and Newcastle Districts was held on 11th November after a 2 year lapse due to the covid pandemic.     Central Coast travelled to Cardiff in the Newcastle area.   We were welcomed by Newcastle District President Marion and after morning tea it was on to the green.

7 teams of 4 from each District played 18 ends each. The winner was decided on the total aggregate score.   Central Coast started off well but gradually the Newcastle players proved too strong and ending up winning 142 shots to 98.  Out of the 7 rinks we only had 2 rink wins.   However all seemed to enjoy the day.     Congratulations to Newcastle.

President Claudia (Central Coast) presented the trophy to President Marion  (Newcastle)   The last time that Central Coast won the trophy was 2012.
